VOLUNTEERING AT CORUMBENE

Volunteers have been part of the fabric at Corumbene – almost since its beginning way back in 1966.  Since then, Corumbene now has nearly fifty volunteers (officially known as the “Friends of Corumbene”) who find rewarding and enriching ways to participate and get involved in the home on a weekly basis.

There are not many jobs in the world where you can decide where you work, have fun, enrich the lives of others, meet new people and make new friends!

Of course the big winners are the residents and families at Corumbene. Corumbene believes bringing the volunteer community into the home is important for all sorts of reasons; the true measure is in the amount of smiles and resident laughter that often comes from Volunteer interaction. If you haven’t been to Corumbene for a while, it is impossible to miss the manicured gardens that greet you from the main road. If you would like more information, please request a copy of our information brochure via phone 03 6261 2744 or email corumbene@corumbene.org.au.

“Sometimes it is as simple as sitting outside where residents can currently enjoy spring in full bloom, the gardens of course are all care of our quiet achievers – our volunteer gardeners!”
