Paul McNamara
President and Chair of the Board of Management – C. Ross Carlyle JP  B.Sc., GAICD

Ross is a retired Director/Executive with broad experience across the retail, trade, wholesale and manufacturing sectors. He has worked in a range of businesses from multinational corporates through to small privately owned affairs with all businesses having a customer service focus.

He possesses sound strategic and risk analysis skills, effective people management skills, experience in business acquisition and development, skill in team development and performance, and has deep knowledge and experience in business administration and governance.

Through his career Ross has represented businesses, associations and clubs he has been involved with on both professional and community-based boards and advisory committees.

Ross has served on a National NFP Board, is a Past District Governor for Rotary Tasmania, is an active Justice of the Peace for Tasmania, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Robert Cameron
Vice-President and Chair, Governance & Risk Sub-committee – Robert Cameron  B.Eng (Env) RMIT, GCCM UNSW, MBA UNSW

Robert is a strategy consultant and business owner. Prior to his consulting career Robert had an extensive background in general management of labour-intensive businesses.

Robert has a Bachelor of Engineering, a Graduate Certificate in Change Management and an MBA from the Australian School of Business at UNSW. Robert is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Deb Lubbersen
Board Member and Chair, Clinical Governance Sub-committee – Deb Lubbersen   RN, Grad Dip Adv Nurs, MPA

After a 25-year career in health care as a registered nurse and midwife in the public, private and community sectors, Deb commenced a career in accounting. She holds a Master of Professional Accounting and Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting alongside postgraduate nursing qualifications in midwifery, case management and critical care. She is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Deb is again working in health and maintains a strong interest in the impact of financial decisions on delivery of care and consumer outcomes.

Clive McDermott
Board Member and Chair, Finance Sub-committee and Chair, The Avenue Taskforce – Clive McDermott  CA ANZ, GAICD 

Clive is a Chartered Accountant, beginning his career at Ernst & Young before gaining international experience at Deutsche Bank and Barclays Bank in the UK.

Clive also has extensive Finance and Commercial Manager experience across a number of roles, including Australian Unity where he was responsible for managing the Retirement Communities portfolio and the development of a number of new retirement communities across NSW and Victoria.

Clive is currently the CFO of Ian Harrington Group in Hobart and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Kym Child
Board Member – Kym Child  LLB (Hons), GDip Legal Prac, B.Nursing (Hons), GDip Emergency Nursing, GCert Paediatric Nursing, MAICD  

Kym is a legal practitioner with Wallace Wilkinson and Webster.

She holds qualifications as both a Lawyer and as a Registered Nurse with post graduate nursing qualifications in Paediatric Nursing and Emergency Nursing.  Kym also has a Certificate IV in Government Investigations.

Kym is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Tasmanian Women Lawyers, and has held past roles as a member of the Mental Health Stream and Guardianship Stream at the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (TASCAT), National Consumer Representative on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Advisory Committee on Complementary Medicines (ACCM), Tasmanian Consumer Representative on the Tasmanian Pharmacy Authority and as a lawyer on the University of Tasmania Human Research and Ethics Committee.

 

Gail Eaton-Briggs
Board Member – Gail Eaton-Briggs 

Gail is the Principal of her own practice, Everywhen Solutions offering people development solutions to her clients. Over 30 years, Gail has worked in local government and the Tasmanian Senior Executive Service as a results-driven executive-level leader. Gail is an Authorised Celebrant and the author of Conscious Grit; from stuck to unstoppable.

Gail is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Human Services) and a Masters of Public Administration.
