Registered Nurse (Full Time) – RN Position Description

Corumbene is an aged care provider in the beautiful Derwent Valley, 30 minutes north of Hobart CBD. We provide compassionate care in a range of services including community home care, nursing, respite care, residential services and more. We are seeking compassionate and caring employees. and surrounding areas plus some suburbs of Hobart.

Essential Requirements

1. Demonstrated experience in coordinating the delivery of nursing and personal care services;
2. High level of motivation and a can do attitude;
3. Empathetic, treating people with dignity and respect ensuring Aged Care Standards are met;

4. Excellent level of computer skills e.g. Microsoft Office Products, Clinical Software;
5. Understanding and application of WH&S principles in the delivery of nursing and personal care services;
6. Current National Police Certificate that satisfies the requirements of the Aged Care Act;
7. Preparedness to work within the Mission, Philosophy and Values of Corumbene;
8. Registration with Australian Health Professional Registration Authority & Current Practising Certificate.

Desirable Requirements

1. Experience working in the aged care sector;
2. Post-basic qualification in gerontics and/or experience in Aged Care;
3. Practical experience of the Aged Care Accreditation Standards.

About the role

We are seeking compassionate and capable workers with aged care experience to provide a range of support services such as assisting consumers with personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, social support, transport and respite.

Our small but effective team works collaboratively to identify each consumer’s goals for their health and wellbeing; we encourage the consumer’s participation in all decisions and respect their choices, preferences, dignity and privacy.

Administration Officer – Part-time

About the role

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • In consultation with the Primary Health program Manager provide day to day operational support across the programs of the Corumbene Community Services Department.
  • Be responsible for data input and retrieval, reporting, liaison with clients, practitioners and other health professionals and quality assurance and administrative tasks.
  • Provide support and coordination of team members across all programs.
  • The role requires the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion.
  • The employee is expected in all instances to operate in accordance with Corumbene’s Vision, Values and behaviour including policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Highly developed administrative skills including attention to detail, in particular high standards of accuracy on data entry and the ability to update procedures across programs as conditions change.
  • Experience in business administration and support.
  • Experience working in the aged care and/or community care sector.
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of staff, clients and external stakeholders in a range of situations.
  • Highly developed computer skills and proficiency on using data bases, word processing, email, internet and specifically spreadsheets as well as the capacity to develop new skills and to provide training to other team members as required.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, the ability to respond to direction and the capacity to be self-directed.
  • Current National Police Certificate that satisfies the requirements of the Aged Care Act.
  • Working with Vulnerable People Check.
